Workflow example Qimage
Step by step guide:
 
1.Open Qimage
 
2. On the “Print processing” box (on the right, down corner) find “Prtr ICC “  “off/or name of profile” click with the right mouse button and a new window “Color Management” will open.
 
a) “Printer (output)” box : -
-“Enable” checked.
- under “Color space to use for your printer”, on the right from line (with the name of the profile with full path), push the button (with 3 dots) and new window “icc profile selection” appears.
- choose the correct profile for the paper that you are going to use and push the “Open” button.
 
b) “Printer Profile Rendering intent” box: -
- choose “Relative Colorimetric – photos with limited or specific colors”
- “Black point compensation” checked.
 
c) ”Embed ICC profiles in saved/converted images (TIFF and JPG only)” checked.
 
d) Push “OK”
 
Note: If a window of “confirm” comes, click on “yes”
 
3.Choose “Printer Setup” button (that is located as the third button up from right side) and then choose all the settings you used for printing the targets before, and then push “OK”.
 
4.It is ready to print.



Workflow example Photoshop 
Step by step guide:
 
1.Open your image file in PhotoShop

2.Don’t edit the picture before you have made a duplicate of the file and save it as a new file. (This is essential that you would not loose any color or shadow details in your edits for the future if you would want to print the same picture on another paper that can handle those areas better than the current paper and printer).

3.Choose ”View”- “proof setup”- “custom”

4.Comes a new window “customize proof condition” 

    a) “Device to simulate” box- choose the profile of the paper and printer you are going to print on.
    b) “Rendering intent” box - choose perceptual or relative depending on witch looks the best with your picture. (It is possible with well-calibrated monitor only!)
    c) “Black point compensation” checked
 
After you have edited your picture as you like it:
 
5.“File” – “print with preview”

6.Choose the “color management” option under the preview image.

7. Under the “Print” box - choose “document”

8.On the box “Color handling”- choose “Let Photoshop Determine Colors”

9.“Printer Profile” box:- choose the printer profile that you are going to use.

10.“Rendering intent:” box - choose “Relative Colorimetric” or “Perceptual” depending what you choose on the “proof setup”.

11“Black Point Compensation” should always be checked.

12.Choose the size of print as you usually do and then push “print”

13.Go to printers “properties” and choose the same settings as you did when you printed the color targets.

14. It is ready to print, push “OK” and print.
